Secondary research

It was through analyzing case studies and other scholarly research articles that I refined the scope of my project. In seeing re-occurring terminology, I based my research off of defining and distinguishing two terms that are often used interchangeably: resolutions and goals.

Using these terms as a framework, I couldn't help but question why, as humans, we have such a drive for change. Additionally, I was curious as to how one can change their resolutions into goals.

Below, you will find their definitions. Click on each one to learn about how they impact individual's mindsets and success rates in making change.

Goals

Resolutions

Definition: "The object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result."

Definition: "The action of solving a problem, dispute, or contentious matter"

Or

"A firm decision to do or not to do something."
